Cindy N. Ellis

Cindy N. Ellis is a partner in the firm's Harrisburg office.  Having come from a family of physicians, predictably, her entire career has been focused on defending healthcare providers from a variety of fields and specialties in medical malpractice cases.

Ms. Ellis has assisted in cases and trials representing health systems, hospitals, nursing homes, long-term acute care hospitals, large practice groups and individual providers from medical assistants to physicians and surgeons.  Her case experience spans virtually every medical specialty, as well as risk management and corporate issues.

Ms. Ellis is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.  She is a member of the Pennsylvania and Dauphin County Bar Associations.  Ms. Ellis has lectured throughout the state of Pennsylvania on legal issues in medicine, and was recognized as the investigative researcher for the book “Managed Care Success” co-authored by James Saxton.

Prior to joining Cipriani & Werner in 2015, Ms. Ellis was an attorney with the law firm of Foulkrod Ellis, P.C. where she concentrated her practice in all aspects of healthcare liability defense, including medical malpractice and professional licensing issues.  She similarly practiced at Hartman, Osborne & Rettig in Harrisburg and Barley Snyder in Lancaster.

Ms. Ellis graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 1996 with a major in Government.  She went on to receive her law degree in 1999, cum laude, from American University – Washington College of Law located in Washington, D.C.  While there, she interned for the late Senator Arlen Specter.

Ms. Ellis currently resides in York, Pennsylvania with her husband, Leigh, and their two dogs.
