Sarah M. Burton is a partner in the firm's Baltimore office.  She has over 10 years of experience handling workers' compensation, general liability and employment matters.

Sarah M. Burton is a partner in the firm's Baltimore office.  She has over 10 years of experience handling workers' compensation, general liability and employment matters.

Ms. Burton has represented a broad range of clients in general liability, employment and contractual cases in state and federal courts in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.  Her clients include insurers, individuals, business entities and quasi-governmental organizations.  In workers' compensation hearings and appeals, she has also represented insurers, construction companies, hospitals and universities.  Ms. Burton spent three years representing a local county board of education in workers' compensation, general liability and employment litigation.

She is a member of the Maryland State, District of Columbia, and Virginia State Bar Associations, as well as the Association of Compensation Insurance Attorneys (ACIA).

Ms. Burton is admitted to practice in Maryland and Virginia, as well as the District of Columbia.

She received her B.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina in 2004 and her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2007.
