Sharon J. McGrail-Szabo is a partner in the firm’s Scranton office.  For almost 25 years, she has devoted her practice solely to workers’ compensation defense litigation.

Sharon J. McGrail-Szabo is a partner in the firm’s Scranton office.  For almost 25 years, she has devoted her practice solely to workers’ compensation defense litigation.

Ms. McGrail-Szabo’s experience in workers’ compensation began with her initial employment after college as a claims adjuster at PMA Insurance.  After briefly working as a legal assistant at a plaintiffs’ firm in Easton, she quickly realized that she needed to get back to the defense side, and began working part-time at several small law firms while commuting to law school.  Prior to joining Cipriani & Werner, she was the managing partner of the Allentown office of a well-known insurance defense firm.

Ms. McGrail-Szabo has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in the area of Workers’ Compensation annually since 2008.

She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, and is a member of the Pennsylvania (Workers’ Compensation Section) and Northampton County Bar Associations.

Ms. McGrail-Szabo received her A.B. in Government and Law from Lafayette College in 1987 and her J.D. from Widener University School of Law (Harrisburg) in 1994.  She was a law review staff writer for The Widener Journal of Public Law.

Ms. McGrail-Szabo and her family reside in Hellertown, Pennsylvania.
