The law firm of Cipriani & Werner, P.C. recently announced the opening of their second new office this year with a location in McLean, Virginia.  Earlier in 2016, the firm announced the addition of its Binghamton, New York office.  The new Virginia location is the Firm's third in the D.C. corridor as offices in Hunt Valley, Maryland and Washington, D.C. were opened in 2015.

Cipriani & Werner, P.C. is also pleased to announce that attorneys Kathleen A. Gallagher and Carolyn B. McGee joined the firm effective May 1, 2016, and Ms. Gallagher has been named Managing Partner of the McLean office.  Ms. McGee will be resident in our Pittsburgh office.  Ms. Gallagher brings a wide range of experience in complex commercial litigation matters as well as real estate and business.  She currently represents both privately held and publicly traded home builders and developers and also represents entities in conducting internal investigations involving a wide range of criminal, civil and ethics matters.  Ms. Gallagher's and Ms. McGee's combined experience complement the Firm's traditional practice groups, and expands our practice areas into the financial institutions sector, along with the Firm's real estate and commercial litigation practice areas.

As our twelfth location, the opening of the Firm's new Virginia office represents a significant milestone in Cipriani & Werner's 30 year history.  The office will be located at 8270 Greensboro Drive, Suite 810, McLean, Virginia.  Commenting on these developments, Gerard J. Cipriani, Chairman of the Board of Cipriani & Werner, P.C. said, "We continue to position our firm with an emphasis on controlled growth while responding to the needs of our clients and new practice areas.  As we see opportunities to complement our core practice groups, we invest the necessary resources to bring experienced attorneys to the firm.  Ms. Gallagher comes to C&W as a well respected litigator with excellent credentials, which will allow our firm to confidently offer additional services to our existing client base, as well as provide new opportunities for growth and expansion.  As Kathleen and Carolyn share the Firm's basic client-focused philosophy, as well as the highest of ethical standards, they have quickly become valued members of the C&W team."

Ms. Gallagher expressed a similar view.  "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to bring my practice to such a dynamic and growing legal environment.  The energetic forward vision and culture at C&W encourages collaboration at every level, between attorneys in various geographic areas and practice groups.  Cipriani & Werner, P.C. is a unique law firm, delivering the highest level of legal representation to its clients, as well as significant career and growth opportunities for its attorneys."

The Firm is a mid-Atlantic regional law firm now with 135 lawyers continuing to build on our solid reputation with an emphasis in litigation defense focusing in the areas of medical malpractice, premises, transportation, professional liability, construction, commercial litigation and employment matters.  Our most recently developed practice areas of banking, real estate and privacy and data security (cyber) allow us to offer clients added services as our lawyers continue to bring a consistent, aggressive persona to our practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, New York, Washington D.C. and Virginia.

The law firm of Cipriani & Werner, P.C. was established in Pittsburgh in 1987 by named partners, Gerard J. Cipriani and Walter E. Werner, III.  The foundation of the firm was rooted in a general litigation practice, as well as a focus in workers' compensation matters.  During the past three decades, the Firm has responded to changes in insurance and financial markets.  "Our core practice areas remain in place, but we have systematically added other areas of expertise in order to become a well-rounded regional law firm," Cipriani noted.
