The Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA), an international association of attorneys serving the transportation industry since 1937, elected new officers on April 27 during its annual membership meeting at the Inn and Spa at Loretto in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Assuming the presidency is Frank C. Botta, Of Counsel with Cipriani & Werner, P.C. in Pittsburgh. Mr. Botta earned his J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1985. He focuses his practice in the areas of litigation, labor and employment, transportation law, insurance defense, arbitrations and mediations. His practice also includes truck accident litigation, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, unfair labor practice, union election campaigns, collective bargaining, grievances and commercial and corporate litigation in both federal and state courts. Mr. Botta is a certified arbitrator and mediator. A transportation industry veteran, he previously served as in-house counsel at various companies. Mr. Botta also practices sports law and was certified with the Major League Baseball Players Association.
TLA members are attorneys located throughout North America and Europe. Members represent both providers and commercial users of transportation and logistics services from all modes of the transportation industry, including air, rail, truck and maritime companies.
