John F. Hayes is a Co-Managing Partner in the firm's Philadelphia office.  With over 30 years of experience, he concentrates his practice in workers' compensation, insurance coverage and bad faith, premises liability, product liability and motor vehicle matters.

Mr. Hayes has over a decade of experience as an insurance industry senior executive, having served as the Senior Claims Officer for PMA Insurance Company, a regional commercial lines insurance carrier based in suburban Philadelphia, as well as serving as Vice President of Workers’ Compensation for USF+G, a national, all-lines insurance carrier formerly based in Baltimore, Maryland.

Mr. Hayes has expertise in claims and risk management, loss prevention, complex litigation, coverage, reserving, managed care and integrated benefits, and has managed regional and national insurance and claims operations handling all aspects of workers’ compensation, property, automobile, general liability and asbestos and environmental exposures.

Mr. Hayes has been listed as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer annually since 2011 in the area of Workers' Compensation.

Mr. Hayes is a member of the Workers’ Compensation and Civil Litigation sections of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.  He is also Chairman of the Hearing Committee of the Montgomery County Chapter of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, and is an adjunct professor at Temple University’s School of Business Management in Philadelphia.

Mr. Hayes is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania state courts, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania.

He is a 1979 honors graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, with dual majors in Criminology and English.  Mr. Hayes received his law degree from Temple University School of Law in 1982.

He resides in Norristown, PA with his wife, Dianne, and their three daughters, Meaghann, Keelan and Mollie.
