Cipriani & Werner, P.C. is pleased to announce that Geoffrey T. Witherspoon, II has been named to Lawyers of Color’s Hot List 2022.

Mr. Witherspoon is an attorney in the firm’s Washington metropolitan area (DMV) offices and a member of the Family Law practice group where he represents clients in a wide variety of domestic relations matters.  He served as Co-Chair of the Social Justice Committee of the Washington Bar Association Young Lawyers' Division for three years, where he received the Donald A. Thigpen, Jr. Rising Star Award in 2018.

Mr. Witherspoon earned his B.A. in Legal Communications from Howard University in 2011 and his J.D. from Howard University School of Law in 2014.  While studying at Howard, he was a member of the Human Rights & Globalization Law Review.

Lawyers of Color is a nonprofit organization devoted to promoting diversity in the legal profession and advancing democracy and equality in marginalized communities.  Their annual Hot List recognizes junior- and mid-level attorneys who exemplify integrity, high achievement, leadership, and a passion for diversity.
