Mr. Sawyer's experience includes handling thousands of cases involving all aspects of New York workers' compensation matters including reporting and pre-litigation investigation, litigation involving depositions and trial hearings and appeals both to the Board and the 3rd Department Court of Appeals.

He is licensed to practice in New York State.

Mr. Sawyer has been recognized for exceptional legal expertise and achievements throughout his career.  This includes being selected for the New York Rising Stars list annually from 2016 to 2022 for Workers’ Compensation Defense, a distinction that honors the top young lawyers in the region.  In 2023, Mr. Sawyer was further honored with selection to the Super Lawyers list, reflecting a continued commitment to legal excellence and professional success.

Mr. Sawyer received his B.A. in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University in 2008 and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law in 2011.  While in law school, he served as an editor of the Journal of International Law and Commerce and was a member of the Justinian Honor Society.

Mr. Sawyer is also President of the Board of Directors of the Tioga County Boys and Girls Club.
