Joseph F. Saporito, III is an associate in the firm’s Philadelphia office.  As a member of the Cyber practice group, he works with clients on cyber-related incidents including determining the scope of the event, planning the appropriate response, and developing a coordinated approach by bringing in outside expert support as needed.  He also ensures that his clients comply with all regulatory and reporting obligations required by state and federal law.

Prior to joining C&W, Mr. Saporito served as a general litigation attorney representing clients in commercial litigation, criminal defense, civil litigation, orphans’ court (guardianship and estate) litigation, and real estate litigation matters, and served as a law clerk for President Judge Janine Edwards in the Court of Common Pleas of Wayne County, Pennsylvania.  He also gained valuable experience working for a strategic business management firm as a data analyst for over 6 years. 

Mr. Saporito is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.  He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and is a Zone Five Delegate.  He is also a member of the Lackawanna County Bar Association, the Wayne County Bar Association and the Wilkes-Barre Law & Library Association.

Mr. Saporito received his B.A. from Duquesne University in 2014 and his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2017.  He received his M.S., summa cum laude, in Applied Data Science from Syracuse University School of Information Studies in 2023.

In his spare time, Mr. Saporito enjoys golfing, whitetail and pheasant hunting, fitness, dining out, and spending time with his family, friends, and his dog.  He also serves on the board of directors for PA Inclusive, a non-profit organization that offers inclusive education and personalized support services for children with special needs.
