Katherine F. Gora is an associate in the firm’s Philadelphia office and concentrates her practice in cybersecurity and data privacy matters.  Ms. Gora helps her clients with the challenges that arise from cyber-related incidents — planning the response to a breach and working with other experts to formulate a coordinated approach.  She ensures that clients comply with all regulatory and reporting obligations required by state and federal law.  In addition, Ms. Gora guides her clients through post-event analysis and helps direct forensic investigations.

Prior to joining Cipriani & Werner, Ms. Gora spent seven years as an Assistant District Attorney at the New York County District Attorney’s Office, gaining significant investigative and trial experience working in both the Cybercrime and Identity Theft Bureau and the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor.

Ms. Gora received her B.A. from Fordham University in 2005.  After graduation, she worked for the National September 11 Memorial and Museum in New York City for four years before going to law school.  She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2013.  While in law school, Ms. Gora was part of the International Women’s Human Rights Clinic, where she drafted model legislation and supporting comments for the proposed Prevention of and Remedies for Human Trafficking Act and presented the model law to the Uniform Law Commission Drafting Committee. She is licensed to practice law in New York and Florida.
