Michael J. Guidi is an associate in the firm’s Philadelphia office and concentrates his practice in cybersecurity and data privacy matters.  He assists his clients with the challenges that arise from cyber-related incidents — including planning the response to a breach and working with other experts to formulate a coordinated approach.  Mr. Guidi also guides his clients through post-event analysis and helps direct forensic investigations, as well as ensuring that clients comply with all regulatory and reporting obligations required by state and federal law.

He is an ANSI-accredited Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E).  He is also a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) credentialed through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Prior to joining C&W, Mr. Guidi provided incident response and post-breach support to clients for a global managed security service provider.  He also worked for several New York area law firms representing clients in banking, financial services and real estate matters.

He is admitted to practice in New York State and is a member of the New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations.  He is also a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

He received his B.A. from Stony Brook University in 2017 and his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2020.
