William C. Lawlor is a partner in the Long Island office and Chair of the firm’s New York Construction Practice Group.  He provides legal guidance to both public and private entities in the New York construction industry.  His expertise is particularly focused on navigating New York Labor Law liability issues.

Before joining Cipriani & Werner, Mr. Lawlor worked at one of the nation's largest insurance brokers.  In this role, he assisted clients and their risk management departments.

His dual experience as a litigator and a consultant in the insurance sector enables him to offer client-centered and cost-effective legal services.  To that end, Mr. Lawlor’s clients are often owners and general contractors that sponsor Owner or Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs where he emphasizes the importance of a collaborative defense strategy in tandem with Cipriani & Werner’s Workers’ Compensation Group.

He is admitted to practice law in New York and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York

Mr. Lawlor received his B.A. from Adelphi University in 2006 and his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 2011.
