Cullen Announces C&W Harrisburg Attorney Jeffrey McGuire Running for Dauphin County Judge

I am pleased to announce that Jeffrey McGuire is running for judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Dauphin County.  You all know Jeff as a civil litigator in our Harrisburg office with over 20 years' experience.  He specializes in the representation of licensed professionals including attorneys, accountants, engineers, geologists and veterinarians in licensing and malpractice matters.  Jeff has a strong reputation for being a highly ethical and zealous advocate.

Since 2005, Jeff has been a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, a Pennsylvania Supreme Court Accredited Agency.  In addition, he is a certified mediator and a certified arbitrator.  He serves as both a mediator and/or an arbitrator for private parties, as well as through the Better Business Bureau and the Pro Bono Mediation Panel for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.  He has served a term as chair of an arbitration panel for the Court of Common Pleas of Dauphin County.  He is also a former Senior Hearing Committee Member for the Disciplinary Committee of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

What you may not know is that Jeff also devotes considerable time to teaching.  He is an adjunct professor at both the Widener University Commonwealth Law School and the Harrisburg Campus of The Pennsylvania State University.  He has also been a guest lecturer at Temple University. Further, he routinely teaches ethics to attorneys, accountants and other professionals.

Not only is Jeff an accomplished attorney, he also gives back to his community in many ways.  He is a past Board Member of the Central Dauphin School Board.  He is the current president of the Kiwanis Club of East Shore Harrisburg.  He serves on the Board of Directors of the Dauphin County Bar Association.  He previously served on the Ethics Committee of the American Society of Association Executives.  He has coached his children's baseball teams, served as the "chief" for his children's YMCA Guides Programs, and for years was a swimming starter/referee.

Jeff is married to his wife Michelle and they have three children; Luke, Kelly and Sean.  Luke is a second year law student at Harvard Law School.  Kelly is a West Chester University graduate who will be attending law school in the fall.  Sean is a senior at Central Dauphin High School and will be attending West Chester University in the fall.  Jeff and Michelle will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this year.

We wish Jeff the best of luck.  He will be greatly missed should he be elected Judge, but Dauphin County will benefit significantly from Jeff's knowledge, abilities, expertise and ethics.
