Joseph F. Frattone, a partner in the firm's Philadelphia office, recently served as a guest panelist for a CLE course offered to the Workers' Compensation Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association.  The one hour presentation was entitled "Immigration Status and the Injured Worker".

Mr. Frattone offered the defense perspective as the panel tackled this timely and highly charged topic.  During the program, he discussed the case law and recent developments that impact employers, carriers, TPA's and those who are injured while illegally in the country.  The panel also discussed practical considerations all parties must entertain when dealing with these issues.  Mr. Frattone frequently speaks on this issue as he represented the employer and insurance carrier before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in the seminal case of Reinforced Earth Co. v. WCAB (Astudillo).
