IN MEMORY OF OUR FORMER PARTNER AND FRIEND

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our former partner and friend Rick Yost who passed away suddenly on February 10th.  Mr. Yost was a principal and co-founder of Yost & Tretta, which merged with C&W in 2018.  He retired in December of 2024 after a long and successful career litigating significant, high exposure cases involving professional liability, non-profit sexual abuse, insurance coverage, transportation, and commercial liability.  He was widely respected by state and federal judges and both sides of the bar throughout Pennsylvania.  His self-effacing and genuine manner endeared him to juries, and he was beloved by his many clients for his tenacity and work ethic.  Mr. Yost possessed a keen understanding of the law and incredible instincts about people that contributed to his success.  He was a meticulous, but patient mentor to many lawyers over the years, and always stressed the importance of family.  He will be sorely missed by his many friends and colleagues at C&W.  We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Helen, his daughters and extended family and friends during this difficult time.
