Philadelphia Partners Dwyer and Dremann Assume New Leadership Roles

Cipriani & Werner, P.C. is pleased to announce that Desinee R. Dwyer and Andrew E. Dremann, both Shareholders and Partners in the Philadelphia office, have been selected to become the Chair of the Philadelphia office Workers’ Compensation Practice Group and the Delaware office Workers’ Compensation Practice Group, respectively.  These appointments will become effective on July 1, 2021.

As Chair of the Philadelphia Workers’ Compensation Practice Group, Ms. Dwyer will be responsible for the management and development of the Philadelphia attorneys in that group and will direct its growth and marketing activities.

Ms. Dwyer joined the firm in 2011 and has been a significant contributor to the growth of the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group in the Philadelphia office, as well as contributing to the marketing of the Workers’ Compensation practice throughout the firm.  Her strong work ethic, legal skills and client advocacy continue to demonstrate her depth of abilities.  Ms. Dwyer has also demonstrated a strong commitment to other legal and community activities by providing pro bono legal services for more than a decade to The Support Center for Child Advocates, and was recently honored as a 2021 Distinguished Advocate for Children.

Mr. Dremann will be assuming a regional management role, primarily responsible for advancing the growth of our firm’s WC practice in Delaware and, as outgoing Chair of the Philadelphia WC Practice Group, will remain available to support Ms. Dwyer in her new position.

Jack Hayes II, Managing Partner of the Philadelphia office and Member of the Board of Directors, recognized Ms. Dwyer by stating, “Des demonstrates the qualities we are looking for as our firm continues to grow.  She has been an important part of the Workers’ Compensation practice group in this office and has demonstrated the skills and commitment to be elevated to this leadership position.  I look forward to working more closely with Des as she continues to advance in the firm.”

Mr. Hayes remarked further that he is equally confident that Mr. Dremann will be successful in his new role.  “Andy has done a great job as Chair of the Philadelphia WC Practice Group during the difficult and challenging pandemic and remote work environment.  He now has those experiences to draw upon as he expands the firm’s WC practice in Delaware.”
