Kathleen A. Monaghan is a partner in the firm’s Philadelphia office. She concentrates her practice in Cybersecurity, Information Privacy, and Data Security matters.  Although a cyber-related incident may be a difficult situation for all those involved, Ms. Monaghan appreciates the challenges associated with managing these events on behalf of her clients.  She works with her clients to determine the scope of the event, plan the response, and bring in outside support as needed.

Ms. Monaghan comes to the practice of cybersecurity law with a unique background: she was a fidelity and cyber claims adjustor for a leading cyber insurance company.  She has intimate knowledge of how the insurance process works and can help manage the relationship between her client and the client’s carrier.  Prior to joining Cipriani & Werner, Ms, Monaghan was an associate at a major Philadelphia Cybersecurity law firm, where she focused her practice on helping clients with all aspects of data privacy.

She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.

Ms. Monaghan received her B.S. in Political Science from Widener University in 2014 and her J.D. from the University of Massachusetts School of Law in 2017.  After graduating from law school, she was a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert P. Coleman of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.

When not practicing law, Ms. Monaghan volunteers at an animal shelter, where she fostered and then adopted her dog, Peppa.
