PHILADELPHIA, PA December 28, 2022 -- Cipriani & Werner, P.C. is pleased to announce that, effective January 1, 2023, Angela B. Taylor, Esquire will become the firm’s Chief Diversity Officer. Angela joined the firm in November 2021 as its Director of Insurance Client Services and also became Co-Chairperson of the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. As a member of our Corporate Leadership Team, Angela has provided training to enhance client relationship building and the incorporation of innovation and use of technology to improve the client experience and firm operations. She was also instrumental as a strategic advisor to the CEO and the DEI Committee to enhance the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, improve hiring, promotion and retention practices relative to diverse talent.
Angela is an experienced diversity equity and inclusion leader and adviser. For many years she was responsible for leading a legal team to successfully provide strategic guidance to law firms, facilitating increased engagement of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) efforts focused to improve hiring, promotion and retention practices relative to diverse talent. Angela actively engaged with law firm leaders to assess efforts, identify roadblocks or challenges and provide insightful coaching to assist with achieving more inclusive cultures.
In her new role as Chief Diversity Officer, Angela will develop and advance the implementation of proactive diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives in support of Cipriani & Werner’s strategic plan to create a workplace environment and experience where all have an opportunity to grow personally and professionally. Additionally, Angela will collaborate with the Corporate Leadership Team to identify opportunities to expand training initiatives on cultural competency, gender differences, disability, sexual harassment, and other topics designed to increase awareness and support of equity and inclusion values, while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Angela has participated as a presenter on several DEI panels including for the Philadelphia Bar Association Women’s Rights and Civil Rights Committees and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) annual meeting. Angela’s professional certifications include, Cornell University - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; Building a Diverse Workforce.
