Benjamin A. Leonard, managing partner of the firm’s Atlanta office, has been elected to the national College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers (CWCL). The College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers was established to honor those attorneys who have distinguished themselves in the field of workers’ compensation in their respective state.
Candidates are nominated by current Fellows of the College for the outstanding traits they have developed in a practice of twenty years or longer representing claimants, employer/insurers, serving as a mediator or serving in a judicial capacity. The Nominating Committee reviews each application and makes recommendations to the Board of Governors who makes the final determination as to the selection of new Fellow inductees. Often only one or two attorneys from each state are elected each year. Mr. Leonard is the only attorney representing employer/insurers from the state of Georgia elected to the 2023 Class.
Commenting on his selection, Mr. Leonard said, “Being elected to the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers is one of the highest professional honors in our system of law. I am incredibly flattered to be selected for membership among the best attorneys in workers’ compensation in the United States.”
The Class of 2023 will be honored at an induction dinner and ceremony in New York on May 6, 2023 at the Marriott Marquis.
