Congratulations to Pat Carey, Joseph Healey and Olivia Levine of our Scranton office who secured a defense verdict in a hard fought blindness case. The case involved and alleged failure to identify a venous thrombus in the right sigmoid sinus which plaintiff’s counsel and their experts, claimed damaged the optic nerve of the left eye and resulted in blindness to the patient. The defense team established that the damage to the optic nerve was caused by undiagnosed idiopathic intracranial hypertension resulting in a defense verdict. Congratulations to our team.
