Cipriani & Werner, P.C. is pleased to announce that James W. Layne, Caroline P. Aprahamian and Melaina R. Hudack have joined the firm as associates in its Philadelphia office.
Mr. Layne focuses his general liability litigation practice on premises liability, product liability, and motor vehicle matters. Prior to joining Cipriani & Werner, Mr. Layne worked on insurance defense litigation matters for eighteen years, including work at two large, Philadelphia-based law firms. He earned his B.A., summa cum laude, from Lynchburg College in 2001 and his J.D., cum laude, from Widener University School of Law in 2004.
Ms. Aprahamian concentrates her general liability litigation practice in motor vehicle and premises liability matters. Prior to joining Cipriani & Werner, Ms. Aprahamian clerked for The Honorable Kathleen J. Prendergast of the Court of Common Pleas of York County. She also worked in the District Attorney’s Office in both Chester and Adams Counties in Pennsylvania, specializing in the prosecution of child abuse cases. Ms. Aprahamian earned her B.A. summa cum laude from Immaculata University in 2014 and her J.D. from the Widener University Commonwealth Law School in 2019.
Ms. Hudack focuses her general liability litigation practice on premises liability, motor vehicle, and product liability matters. Prior to joining Cipriani & Werner, she worked in the District Attorney’s Office in Chester County, PA, and at a plaintiff’s litigation firm, where she specialized in personal injury and premises liability. Ms. Hudack earned her B.A. from the University of Delaware in 2014 and her J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School in 2018.
