Cipriani & Werner, P.C. is pleased to announce that Scranton partner James F. Tierney, Esq. has been selected by Lackawanna County Commissioners-Elect Bill Gaughan and Matt McGloin to serve on their transition team.  Mr. Tierney was also an advisor to the Gaughan-McGloin election campaign.

Commissioners-Elect Gaughan and McGloin expect their transition team - also planners of their Jan. 2 inauguration festivities - to help prepare them to carry out their top priorities: developing a long-term financial management plan; recruiting high-paying, family sustaining jobs; developing the workforce to meet local economic needs; and, restoring confidence in the Office of Youth and Family Services.

A well-respected leader in the community, Mr. Tierney serves as solicitor to county Coroner Tim Rowland and sits on the Pennsylvania Northeast Regional Railroad Authority board. He has frequently represented clients in election law cases.
