James F. Tierney is a founder of the firm's Scranton office and a member of the Board of Directors.  He concentrates on firm wide new business and practice group development.  Mr. Tierney currently serves as Solicitor to the Lackawanna County Coroner’s office.

Mr. Tierney is a member of the American and Lackawanna County Bar Associations.  He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. 

Mr. Tierney received his B.A. from Colgate University in 1992 and his J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1995.  Upon completion of law school, he served for two years as a law clerk to The Honorable Chester T. Harhut (former President Judge) in the Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas.

Mr. Tierney resides in Greenfield Township, Pennsylvania with his wife, Suzanne and their children, Cameron, Devan, Jimmy, Max and Brynn.
