Alan H. Meincke is a partner in the firm’s Atlanta office and serves as the leader of the General Liability and Family Law practice groups.  He dedicates his practice to a variety of general liability litigation matters such as defense of motor vehicle, wrongful death, and premises liability tort claims (slip and fall, apartment/hotel/shopping center shootings, dog bite cases, and other types of injuries), and subrogation, as well as complex domestic relations actions.

Prior to joining Cipriani & Werner, Mr. Meincke practiced at another litigation firm in Atlanta, Georgia.  With a wide range of experience, including general liability defense, family law, and probate litigation, he brings a practical and sensible approach to each case.  He has litigated numerous cases with favorable results, through and including a bench or jury trial. as well as before the Georgia Court of Appeals.

Mr. Meincke was selected as a 2022, 2023 and 2024 Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Star, which recognizes only 2.5% of lawyers in Georgia under the age of 40 based on peer recognition and professional achievement.

His family law practice includes all types of domestic relations issues such as divorce, dissolution of domestic partnerships, child custody, legitimation, adoption (contested and uncontested), post-divorce contempt, and modification actions.

Mr. Meincke is admitted to practice in all Georgia state courts, including the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the Forsyth County Bar Association.  As a member of the Forsyth County Bar Association, Mr. Meincke served in leadership positions and is a past President.  He is also a member of the Lawyers Club of Atlanta and the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce.

He received his B.B.A. in Risk Management and Insurance, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business in 2007 and his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2011.

Mr. Meincke lives in Milton, Georgia with his wife and two sons.  He and his wife are UpStreet guest services volunteers and regularly attend North Point Community Church. Mr. Meincke also serves on the Board of Directors for No Longer Bound, a faith-based addiction recovery organization.  In his spare time, outside of keeping up with his two boys, Mr. Meincke cheers enthusiastically for his University of Georgia Bulldogs, is an avid hiker, F3 PAX, and pickleball player.
