Cipriani & Werner, P.C. is pleased to announce that Benjamin A. Leonard, Esq., Alan H. Meincke, Esq. and Matthew Pittman, Esq. have been selected for inclusion in the 2024 list of Georgia Super Lawyers or Rising Stars.
Attorney Leonard is the Managing Partner of our Atlanta office. He was again selected as a Super Lawyer in the area of Workers’ Compensation, a recognition he has received annually since 2014. With over 20 years of litigation experience, he focuses his practice primarily on defending employers and insurers under the Georgia Workers’ Compensation Act (Title 34). Mr. Leonard is also one of a handful of Georgia practitioners who has been trained and certified in Medicare Set Aside allocation and implementation. He received his J.D. from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law in 2000.
Attorney Meincke, a partner and leader of the General Liability and Family Law practice groups in Atlanta, was again selected as a Rising Star in the area of Family Law. His family law practice includes all types of complex domestic relations issues including divorce, dissolution of domestic partnerships, child custody, legitimation, adoption (contested and uncontested), post-divorce contempt, and modification actions. Mr. Meincke also represents clients in a variety of general liability litigation matters including defense of motor vehicle, wrongful death, premises liability, tort claims and subrogation. Mr. Meincke received his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2011.
Attorney Pittman was once again selected as a Rising Star in the area of Workers’ Compensation, a recognition he has received annually since 2020. As a Partner in the firm’s Atlanta office, he concentrates his practice in the defense of employers, insurers and third party administrators in workers’ compensation claims. Before entering private practice in 2015, Mr. Pittman was an Assistant Attorney General with the Office of the Georgia Attorney General in its Litigation Division and Workers’ Compensation Section where he represented all of the State’s agencies in workers’ compensation claims. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Mercer University in 2013 where he was a member of its Law Review.
