Mr. Koschineg has been designated national coordinating and trial counsel in matters involving defibrillators, pain pumps, bone screws, clinical trials, OTC's, generic drugs, cold therapy products, dietary supplements, medical publishers, joint implants, cardiac devices, latex gloves, skin lasers, morcellators and blood-related products. He has also been designated lead counsel in a number of class actions and multi-district litigations. His focus on the healthcare field has allowed him to represent physicians and nurses alike in medical and psychiatric malpractice cases. The scope of his representation has involved both domestic and international corporations, leading him to practice in over 50 jurisdictions in the United States and Europe.
Mr. Koschineg is also the co-chair of the Cybersecurity, Information Privacy and Data Security Team. In this role, he advises clients on data protection practices and regulatory compliance, and represents clients in litigation focusing on data breaches and data security, information technology, technology failures, implementation of developed software, cloud computing related issues, and IT outsourcing agreements. Specifically, he works with clients in the healthcare and life sciences sectors to identify and develop data protection plans, analyze vendor contracts, conduct vulnerability evaluations and counsel on mitigation strategy and remedies. He is also well-versed in international e-discovery concerning privacy and data protection laws.
Additionally, Mr. Koschineg also has an active practice involving EEOC investigations, review of termination agreements, litigation involving ADA, FMLA and PHRA, and media claims involving trademark and copyright disputes, technology errors and omissions claims.
He has been called upon by clients, legal publishers and BIO International to consult and speak on issues such as professional malpractice, informed consent, FDA regulations, cybersecurity, construction law, financial injury and consumer law.
Mr. Koschineg is an active member of the Defense Research Institute, Professional Liability Underwriters Society, International Association of Privacy Professionals, International Association of Defense Counsel and the American Health Lawyers Association.
He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Western Districts of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Mr. Koschineg received his B.S. from Muhlenberg College in 1995 and his J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 1998. He also received his LLM from Temple University School of Law in 2004.
He resides in Ambler, Pennsylvania with his wife and three children.
