George M. Evan is Of Counsel in the Pittsburgh office.  He concentrates his practice in civil litigation with an emphasis on workers' compensation, civil rights, municipal law, insurance law, premises liability, auto liability and contract litigation.

Mr. Evan is certified as a specialist in the practice of workers' compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Workers' Compensation Law Section.

He is a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County, as well as the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and the Defense Research Institute.  He is also a member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.

Mr. Evan is rated AV® Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell.  He has been selected nationally by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® annually since 2018 in the area of Workers' Compensation defense.  He has also been listed in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers annually since 2014 for Workers' Compensation.  Considered among the best in their profession, Super Lawyers represent the top 5% of the practicing attorneys in Pennsylvania.  He is also a two-time recipient of The Golden Gavel Award from Westfield Insurance Company for outstanding advice and counsel.

Mr. Evan is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

He received his B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1974 and his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1977.
