Sarah N. Koop is the Managing Partner of the firm's Maryland (Metropolitan D.C.) office.  She concentrates her practice in general liability litigation, including motor vehicle, toxic tort and premises liability, as well as workers' compensation defense.

Ms. Koop began her career working in a private defense firm practicing in the areas of general liability and lead paint defense.  Prior to joining Cipriani & Werner, she worked for Maher & Associates for nearly 10 years handling complex general liability litigation, toxic tort and workers' compensation defense matters.

Ms. Koop is admitted to practice in both state and federal court in Maryland and the District of Columbia.  She is a member of the Maryland State and Baltimore County Bar Associations, as well as the Maryland Defense Counsel. 

She was honored annually in the Super Lawyers Rising Star list in Baltimore from 2012 to 2018 for Workers' Compensation. 

Ms. Koop obtained her B.S. from Towson University in 2000 with a major in Political Science and a minor in German.  She graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2004.  During law school, Ms. Koop clerked for the Honorable Lawrence R. Daniels in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County.

Ms. Koop lives with her husband and three children in Baltimore County.  She coaches Clinic level recreational field hockey in a local community league.
